Preheat oven to 180C. Lightly grease 2 small loaf pans. Line base and sides with baking paper.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar together until light and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, cinnamon and soda together in another bowl.
Into the creamed butter and sugar, fold banana, three-quarters of the apple, milk and flour mixture until just combined.
Spread between loaf pans and sprinkle with remaining apple. Bake for approximately 40 minutes until cooked and test with a skewer. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve (or freeze).
